Love this neighbourhood meeting place. Great food sourced from local vendors, nice staff, cozy, lucky to have this venue in our hood.

Fish-and-chips were the special of the day. Very good. Also our server was very attentive.

Nice place but the food isn't great

Nice little bar - Great selection of beers; Comfortable, easy-going environment. Food was pretty good, had a burger and club sandwich, but we weren't super satisfied in the end, ended up going down the street for dessert. Would go back with friends again though.

Not sure I'd call this a Gastropub, but definitely a local pub. This is the place we go with our kids if we don't feel like cooking and want to catch a game. We get the burgers and beers and kids are made to feel welcome even if it's not geared to families necessarily. It's a great local!

Great wings really good fries

Awesome spot in the village for any sporting event, for live music or for delicious food! All local ingredients used to is an added bonus and lots of craft beer to choose from. We love going here!

Good food, lots of tvs, but would it kill you to carry Somersby? Having Brickworks Dry and Strongbow Cider is the same thing!! I rarely come because of that.

Great buck a shuck oysters on the first Wednesday of the month

This is a review for one item I had on the menu. Terrible Cajun wings. The wings were scrawny, dry and tasteless. It's a sports bar so wings shouldn't be this disappointing. I told the waitress and they charged me 50% because I ate the side fries and three or four wings of the two pound order. No problem for me there. But if you have it on your menu do it right. Also, helpful tip...the plates are too big or there weren't enough fries and it makes it look like you are being skimped. This is a good bar with good beer and good service. This one item was just very poorly prepared and plated.

Great supporters of local breweries. Friendly and sociable regulars. I can't say enough good things about this pub. God bless Rob and Emma. The best bar owners in the world.

Great pints and food

Our family loves Shakey’s. It’s a jewel of the neighborhood for the food & community feeling. Great for kids. Their chicken club is to die for and they make amazing caesars. Shout out to the Shakey’s regulars forever debating sports at the bar. Legends.

The food is great, the service is even better. You might wait a while for some items, but that's only because the chef is taking her time to prepare it exactly to your specifications. Perfect for a date, a small party, or even if you feel like dining alone.

This place used to make the very best chilie and burgers. First of all, their beef comes from Rowe Farms, so delicious! The chilie used to have an amazing taste! I don’t know what their spices were and their recipe, but it’s not the same anymore. It doesn’t taste the same at all:( I’m so disappointed. And their burger was a huge disappointment last night also. The pattie was over cooked, charred on the outside and totally dry and tasteless on the inside. When I brought it to the attention of the waitress, she explained that the health inspector had come by recently and said that all beef in Ontario now has to be cooked completely through, and that even the staff was disappointed by this news. Apparently this just happened last week. I won’t be coming back sadly. My two favourite dishes that I loved so much are just not the same anymore:( So sad.

I've eaten here three times over the course of a couple of months. The first time I had a burger and it was bland and over cooked. The second time I had a daily special sandwich - also the same; bland and boring.I wasn't going to return here until I ended up meeting one of the family members that worked there. We got to talking about burgers and I mentioned how disappointing the one I had there was. He confirmed that there's kitchen inconsistencies and it all depends on who was cooking. I told him I'd give it another try then to see what's up.I came to eat there yesterday and got the burger with cheese and bacon this time. It was still tasteless and dry. The fries were barely warm.Maybe there needs to be a reevaluation of kitchen cooking practices. I've been dissatisfied by the dish that you're supposedly known for twice now.

Food was the worst I've had in some time. The wings were so dry! It was like National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation turkey...Half price tonight but normally for $17 a pound you could expect some level of quality.

Considered the "Cheers" of Bloor West Villiage, a great neighborhood pub where the cast of regulars always prove entertaining and the food is consistently excellent. Using locally sourced ingredients whenever possible, their daily specials on the outdoor chalkboard often entice you inside. Partnering with the experts from Rodney's Oyster House, their Buck-A-Shuck on the first Wednesday of every month is an event not to be missed. Be sure to make reservations long in advance to avoid disappointment.

Very bad atmosphere in these place. Looks like all the unemployed cigarette smokers meet here and then remain outside in the street providing such bad image to the neighbourhood

Staff is nice, good place for a group, if you're a Maple Leafs fan.

Very good food. Pretty basic bar, if your looking for something relaxed and not pretensions I recommend going here.

Took kids on a Friday night. Good place to watch a game and they use Rowe farm meat in burgers. Yum.

Easily my favourite local watering hole. Possibly the best chicken wings in town, which ya need to pair with the super refreshing cucumber salad! Top notch spot to watch a Leafs game, especially when they are in the playoffs! Cozy and friendly vibe, with fantastic service!

The lady (an owner or manager she said she was) took my friends order when she wasnt even working, wasnt in uniform and was intoxicated after drinking with her friends. She proceeded to act unprofessional and refused to serve my friend alcohol although my friend had proper ID. She seemed to not know what she was doing and didn't very unprofessionally. We later just went to the Swan and got served all night. Wouldnt reccomend this place to anyone under the age of 30.

Not your average bar food. Made with fresh ingredients and locally sourced. Highly recommend the burger.

Had a great night watching the Raptors win last night at this fine establishment. It was definitely a busy night but the servers kept up well and were friendly for the entire duration. The food wasn't that amazing but it's what to expect from a pub type atmosphere.

I drive from port credit and pass many bars and restaurants to come here. Service is amazing and food is fantastic. Owners and staff treat everyone like family. Keep up the great work!

Great burgers nice staff and good beer

The food was good and the service was excellent. We went for lunch with our kids (both under 4) and we had a great experience from start to finish. We will definitely be back.

Portions were small, soup & coffee served cold. Service was acceptable but price is high for what you get. Plenty of better restaurants and bars in the vicinity.

Great neighborhood restaurant and bar. Very friendly atmosphere with the regulars and the families in for lunch or dinner. The food is excellent too; you can't go wrong with their imaginative and delicious daily specials.

Visiting form Texas and love the small restaurant vibe. Simple menu with great flavor.
